Meet our Team…

The Sharon Alback Dance Centre [SADC] was established in 1952 by Sharon and has been providing quality dance tuition to students. We have produced many professional dancers who have gone on to be a part of the Entertainment Industry, as well as qualified teachers who now own and run their own successful Dance Studios all over Australia. But most importantly we have given the gift of Dance to thousands of children for more than 60 years, many of whom are now grandparents and parents of our current students.

All teachers at SADC are fully qualified. We have several student teachers who assist in some classes to enable them to complete their teacher training. They all hold blue cards and First Aid Certificates. Every class has a minimum of 1 Senior teacher and we Pride ourselves on the calibre of experience and qualifications all of our teachers hold to ensure the correct training and professional delivery of each class.

Our Classes…

We offer classes in Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Contemporary Dance.

We have adult classes available in tap, classical and Ball Ballet both during the day and evening to cater for everyone.

Our Ready Set Dance Program for kindy aged children will be a great starting point for our youngest stars and is open to students aged 2- 3 years.

Community…

SADC places a strong value on Contribution to the Community. We always offer to be involved in Community events, providing entertainment for many community groups and establishments.

We contribute to the wider dance community, involving ourselves in Workshops, Productions, Concerts, Conventions and Festivals.

We expect our families to make themselves available and open to being involved in such events as this builds a sense of Community within our studio and also our wider community.

Our daughters have been attending SADC for several years now and they really make learning to dance fun for all ages and levels from tiny tots to adults. They cover all genre of dance and students have the opportunity to join the eisteddfod team or just dance for fun.
During the pandemic they have offered online lessons and continued these throughout restrictions. It has helped students to interact with their peers and teachers as well as continue with their learning.

My 3 year old has loved the "Ready Set Dance" program. The teachers are welcoming and although the studio is professional with a high standard of dancing it is a relaxed place where my little girl loves going.
